wow..that vid is so cool…i like that mystic athmosphere you created with the music..whats the title of that music?
I like the song good video guys
the first and last song is by Enya
Dived the Rhone last week. Thanks for the great reminder of how magnificent she is!
Glad you all like the vid. Entire soundtrack is Enya. I’d love to go back with a filter on my camera….the water looks green, but it was very blue. This was shot with ambient light and no filters…which really ruined the video. It was a very pretty dive. I’ll get back there someday to redo the shots, I will dive this wreck again.
Tom Tilmon
im assuming you couldnt take the porthole?
um hell no, not from this wreck. You’re not even supposed to touch anything. If this wreck was in NC, that porthole would be in my living room you know? The Brittish Virgin Islands don’t look too kindly upon removal of anything from the ocean….anything.
i have a buddy who got on off the bedlow not too long ago. that porthole was prestine.
we have several off the Gill, and have some other stuff from many other wrecks.
have you ever dove off of virginia beach?
Been trying to get to the China Wreck for years, but always get blown out…..I will try again next summer.
certain one in particular?
Hi guys,
I dived the RMS Rhone in August 2007, your video is a fantastic souvenir for me, thanks
I saw the port hole and even touched it myself, aswell as seeing a number of turtles, huge lobsters and nurse sharks.
I’m glad you liked the video, and I would love the chance to dive this wreck again with my brother.
I’m planning on going back myself, hopefully in summer 2008. Did you dive wreck alley while you were there? I stayed on cooper island for a week and did some fantastic dives from there. It certainly beats cold diving in a dry suit in the U.K. Although I must admit our quarrys still keep me ispired and sometimes its just about the diving isn’t it, not all about the scenery.
No, we mostly dove on reefs. The Rhone was my only wreck dive of the week….which sucks, cuz I’m a wreck diver from NC. I dive cold quarries here at home in a drysuit too, so yes, it is about the diving sometimes. I have recently begun cave diving, and that is a whole new experience.
Shame you didn’t do some more wrecks. I checked out your cave diving video – very good. I’ve been putting the nitrox for too long now, I keep telling myself theres enough abouve 40m to keep myself occucpied!!Maybe I’ll take the plunge in 2008, who knows!!
That was a great video guys! You failed to mention the local redident Fang the barricuda. Not unlike the moray eel in the movie the deep.
Fang made a brief appearance in the beginning of the video inside the wreck. He was hiding out in the dark.
thats where i saw him up above when i was inside he was hiding out in the dark
Thanks for the memories of an awesome dive I did on the Rhome Feb 09. Great Video
It was featured in the film THE DEEP
Cool video. I dived this boat in ’03. Crystal clear waters. It was stunning.
