Oriskany Dive 8-24-2011
The staff of Halojumper.com dive on the USS Oriskany (cv34) to assess the prospects of performing a HAHO over the wreck and then diving on the wreck with scuba certified Tandem passengers. The Viz was 30 feet and we had a 2-3 knot current, and the bottom temp was 72 degrees. The staff found the wreck to be a great wreck and teck dive but feel it may be to much for a beginning diver after completing a water landing. The Captain and Dive master of the “H2O Below” were great and we had a very memorable dive. We will go back, with 120s though because we need more bottom time. Christof Hasse and Brandon Coath dove with Kevin Ho on this historical Man Made reef. The Mighty “O” is just that. Climb High, KHo
Hey Kevin!
Awesome video. I felt like I was on the boat with you guys! Love the music, cross cutting and fade outs, the “smoky” air bubbles and the JELLIES! WOW! Can’t believe there’s a geo cache on the wreck! The stills at hth end are a nice touch, too. Thanks!
