Diving the Car Ferry Wisconsin

A video of a dive on the steamer ‘Wisconsin’ which foundered in heavy seas 1929 and now lies at 130 ft. seven miles southeast of Kenosha, Wisconsin. She still holds a couple automobiles from the period.

Good question. Actually the steamer “Wisconsin” went down on Nov, 29, 1929. 9 crew went down with the ship. Her captain died of exposure shortly after being rescued.

The “S.S. Milwaukee” went down on October 22, 1929. She went to the bottom with all but 4 of her crew who managed to escape but later died of exposure. Their bodies were found a month or so later. I have video of this wreck also. I’ll try to post it soon.
