Connections Between "a Streetcar Named Desire" and Adrienne Rich?
My "assignment" for my American Literature class is to find some connections between "A Streetcar Named Desire" and the poetry of Adrienne Rich. The following poems are included in my book: Storm Warnings, Snapshots of a Daughter-in-Law, "I am in Danger–Sir–," A Valedictorian Forbidding Mourning, Diving in the Wreck, Power, and Transcendental Etude." If you know anything about both "Streetcar" and Adrienne Rich, will you please help me out? Any comments whatsoever would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like a fairly straight forward assignment. Sounds like Blanche Du Bois and the women in Adrienne Rich’s poetry are needy women.
