Anyone Been Diving in the Florida Keys?
Which is better Key Largo or Key West? Especially the Vandenburg vs. Spiegel Grove wrecks? What type of water temp should I expect in Nov? Any other info. would be great.
Seen those sites. Looking for some impartial info.
Spend a few days in Key Largo then drive to Key West, have fun and be safe.

I have been diving in Key Largo, but not Key West. Key Largo is beautiful and it’s much closer to the mainland than Key West. I began diving here in Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale. After diving in Key Largo (John Pennekamp), I lost interest in diving up here. The water here is much deeper and the reefs are darker. In Key Largo, the water is shallower (so longer dives), the sand is white, the coral heads are beautiful, and the visibility is great.
I always enjoyed night diving up here, but daytime diving is much better in the Keys.
I obviously can’t compare Key Largo and Key West, but if you can’t go to both places on one trip, you cannot go wrong with Key Largo.
